BACKGROUND
The mid 1990's witnessed a sharp increase in the level of sophistication of financing in the Sport, Music & Entertainment industry.
Innovations such as bond issues of entertainer's future royalty streams, securitisation of sporting clubs' gate receipts, sponsorship and television rights, stadia construction via future revenue stream securitisation and one off transactions of athletes delayed playing payments were all undertaken.
These are all examples of individual transactions with diverse financing partners and did not offer an ongoing model or one finance house providing solutions to all these financing needs.
This inspired the development of SEQ.
SEQ was created to empower Sport, Music & Entertainment industry participants and enable them to access their future income streams without taking security over assets or diverse income streams.
